Tonight we played a normal game and I lost in the bubble.  I just kinda steadily lost money, didn't get much in terms of starting hands.  I got some mediocre hands, but I seriously did not hit anything on the flop ever.  I eventually went all in on K-10 suited, which I guess was kind of a stupid move since I could have waited for a little bit better hand.  But I figured I'd make my move, and I was called by Bend who unfortunately had A-10, which made me an underdog to win the pot.  Obviously I lost and his ace beat my king so I was out.  Andrew was short stacked versus Bend, and unfortunately for him when he made his move (which he had a flush), Bend called (with his higher flush) and Bend won.

Oh, one funny hand was an easy flush possibility on the board (just needed one of the suits) and Victor had raised and/or called large raises the whole time, and I think Andrew had a pocket pair in the hole, sixes or something.  Victor ended up only having two pair or something, but Andrew had a full house which he thought was only a three of a kind.  Thinking he had three of a kind, he just called a mediocre bet on the end instead of raising, and he won anyway.  BUT he was mad a little since he could have gotten a lot more money than the 80 cents or so he made with the hand.  Sufficed to say, I bet Andrew will be paying more attention to his hand from now on (he was pretty...disgusted would probably be the best word...with what he realized he had done and the opportunity he had missed; it was funny, but poopy).

Bend reminded me that I lost one additional game in the past that I neglected to mention.  Way to go Bend, thanks for reminding me.

Anyway, tonight we played two, count'em two games of poker.  We had 4 players, with Will being the fourth player and the usual three.  I'm glad Will knew how to play, it gets bothersome trying to have newbies keep up with us and teaching them how to play.  Anyway, 5 dollar buy-in like normal, started with pot-limit.  I don't remember many hands, but there was a lot of good quality poker being played so I was impressed and also was able to have fun.  I trapped once or twice with a set, bluffed once or twice with nothing, established a chip lead.  Andrew ended up being knocked out by either Ben or Will, I forget, first.  So Ben went all-in, I called (it was about a dollar) and then Will called also, so we started a side pot.  I ended up getting a flush, but Will had the full house already so it didn't matter.  Ben was goneand Will had a really big chip lead over me as we went heads up.  I went all in on the next hand, and lost to a full house again.  Two hands, two giant losses of money to two full houses.  Fortunately, we decided to play with two paying spots so I got my money back, Will made 10 dollar profit.

It was only 10pm or so, so we decided to play again.  This time, Andrew got an early chip lead, basically taking a portion of my chips, Will's chips, and also ALL of Ben's chips (who ended up going out first).  I was able to stick around until Will got knocked out by Andrew (no full house to save you this time Will!).  So Andrew had about a 8 to 1 chip lead on me, maybe even more, so we folded a few hands before the flop to eachother, then I got A-J suited, so when he called me on the big blind, I went all-in and he called really quickly and flipped over a few queens.  I guess it was kind of bad timing, and I ended up losing, which means I got my money back.  So I didn't win or lose any money after two games, which doesn't exactly help, as I am still down a bunch of money, 53 dollars to be exact, which isn't bad considering 50 of it is from tournaments.  So I'm down three dollars in for fun friends games, and fifty dollars down in tournament play.

Stupid brown streak.

Game before tourney - lose $5
Tourney - Make it to final table!  but lose $25 (on the first final table hand; I was seriously 12340398573498 dollars ahead at the first table, but unfortunately you have to turn in all your chips and re-cash for the final table)
Next game - lose $5 on the second hand.

Get that away, I think I'm going to change my play style, SOMETHING YOU ASSHOLES HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE!

Maybe I will finally win a game, and every game after.

Tourney = loss
Next game on closing Olympic day= loss
Next game at Hilovsky's= loss
Last game with Sykora = loss
Anthony's house = loss

As you can see, there's a disturbing trend.  I've lost 45 dollars in the last 5 games.  I'm in the negative red poopy zone stupid again, -13 dollars to be exact.  I need to win the next tourney so I can be back in non-loser zone again.

The other day we played a 6 handed game, which was pretty cool but there was some new blood (and new-bies) at the table.  First to be knocked out was Andrew-2, I forget how he was knocked out, but I think it was by Bend.  Bend got pretty short stacked towards the beginnging but managed to come back.  I was up pretty much the whole time, but not as much as Andrew-2's friend Josh's friend.  She took some of everyones money towards the beginning and managed to become the chip leader in a short time.  Which is funny because me and Bend were pretty much the only people driving the action at the table.  Every time one of the others had a good hand, they would raise 5 or 10 cents (5 cents was the small blind, and 10 was the big blind) so there were a lot of people in a lot of pots, albeit small pots.  Andrew-2's little brother Jason was doing ok, but he steadily kept losing chips.  One hand, he had A-Q, and about a dollar left in chips.  The flop comes down Q-Q-x and Andrew-2, who was out at the time, said something like "Jason, if you have a queen, put all your money in."  Jason laughed a little and didn't put all his money in.  Next card was something that helped no one and someone bet and I think he called.  He had baited the trap and Josh was falling for it.  Last card off was an ace, so he had queens over aces, by far the best hand.   Jason finally bet 40 cents, and Josh called.  Jason won.  What a trap that was!  I think he earned about 60 cents with the best hand of the entire game.  Soon after, he lost all his money to Bend.

Another notable hand was where I got to play for free as the big blind with 2-3 offsuit.  It was a 4 way pot.  The flop came down 3-4-5, and I had an open ended straight draw, about the best flop I could get with 2-3 offsuit.  I bet (a REAL amount instead of 5 cents) and everyone called.  Next card off was a 6, so I had a  high straight.  I think I bet 60 cents or so and Josh's friend dropped out so it was me, Bend, and Josh.  I figured there was an easy straight out there, so either I would win, or be splitting the pot with someone.  Next card off was useless and I bet like a dollar or more and they both called, so I was scared someone may have gotten a flush (there were 3 diamonds out there).  Turns out Bend had two pair or something, and Josh had ace-high.  So I won.  I also ended up busting him soon after.  Him and his friend left (she cashed out early with 6 dollars) so it was just me versus Bend.  I had a good sized lead over him, and it went back and forth for a while until I lost two pair versus his three of a kind when he went all in.  So he had the lead, then I gained it back a little and it went back and forth again, until the end.  I had A-3, the flop came down A-x-x and Bend moved me all in.  I called, kinda wanting to end the game as it was getting late and my World of Warcraft patch was done downloading so I could play it.  Ben had A-10 and the next cards didn't help me so I lost.  It was kinda stupid, I should never have called with that hand, so I was mad a little, but more mad at myself for making such a newbie stupid move.  That probably won't happen too often anymore.  So I think I'm down to +32 dollars total.

Which is great, because I was invited to a no-limit hold'em tourney with Ben's brother's friend from work or something.  It will be a 25 dollar buy in tomorrow, with multiprizes for finishing ahead.  First place is 250 dollars.

QUESTION MARK, GIMME 250 DOLLARS.
